The In-Between: Senior Art Exhibit 2025

The In-Between: Senior Art Exhibit 2025

The In-Between explores the moments that bridge past and present, childhood and adulthood, and what is with what will be. This collection of pieces reflects each artist's deeply personal journey, drawing inspiration from nature, human experiences and storytelling. The chosen mediums vary from artist to artist. Photography, graphic design and digital art stand alongside illustrations and paintings, showcasing not only a diversity of craftsmanship and creativity but also a unique expression of individuality and a celebration of what makes each artist distinct.

Jocelyn Rounds uses her graphic design skills to present a dynamic brand, with a twist. Sophie Kaufman applies design to her photography, creating illustrative cyanotypes. Ashley Zook tells stories through digital artwork, creating characters and fantasy settings. Jiaying Chen delicately produces watercolor paintings, focusing on femininity and nature. Beau Amber Bakhtiar is an oil painter who focuses on self-identity with whimsical inspirations from literature and folktales. Ash Langtry, also an oil painter, takes on classical themes in Greek mythology to explore mental health. Hannah Gemeny uses Norse myths to explore her own spirituality. Kiersten Hester takes an introspective approach to her art, making sure she feels connected to the paintings and concepts she produces.

The opening reception will be 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20. The William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. The opening reception and exhibition are free.
